A creative force in the heart of Lafayette

Jill Landau

Jill Landau is an award winning artist who received her BFA from Philadelphia University of the Arts, in 1974.  In 1975, she came to California where she continued to paint and became interested in printmaking, working at Blue Sky Press. Her print was included in the portfolio “Wild Women” now in the  collection of the Library of Congress. Her work is in collections in the US and abroad. 

Her images include animals, still lifes and landscapes. Her style is representational and playful. Her inspirations include Janet Fish, Giorgio Morandi and Edward Hopper. 

Currently she paints and prints in her own studio. Jill is a founding member of the Lafayette Gallery in Lafayette, California where she shows her artwork year round.
